Torin Lane

Founder of Wasatch Front Intelligence. Building custom software, websites, and AI tools for small businesses, from the Wasatch Front.

I grew up around small business. Some of my earliest memories are of the hours my family spent on the work nobody sees — filing, data entry, keeping the paperwork straight so the real work could happen. I watched how much of a week disappears into tasks that feel small but eat the hours that matter.

That led me to AI. I earned a Professional Certificate in AI/ML from Purdue, and then spent the past year applying it inside our family business — not as an experiment, but in production. I built the systems that track CNC tool life, automate sales order entry, and handle journal entries without a human retyping the same numbers twice. I watched what happens when the right tool lands in the right hands.

Here's what bothered me: the businesses that need this most are the ones getting left out. The big players have entire teams for this. Small businesses don't — and they shouldn't have to choose between running the shop and learning to be a software company.

So I started Wasatch Front Intelligence. I'm not going to pretend to know your business better than you do. What I bring is the software side — I listen to how you work, and I build the tool around that knowledge. You own what we build. No subscriptions to software you can't keep, no black boxes you can't open.
